The NoCo Compassion Fund Project began in July of 2020. The Compassion Fund is designed to assist people and animals in need of support, for challenges on the physical, mental and emotional level. All donations go directly to serving those in need.

The Compassion Fund arose out of 1 Colorado woman’s love, kindness and compassion for a dear friend. This friend had been suffering from a series of physical issues including: surgery that left daily, unresolvable pain of 6-9 out of 10, congestive heart failure, COPD, a rare blood cancer, and depression and anxiety. Unable to work, the recipient went into debt from various medical expenses. The combination of several life-threatening health issues, plus anxiety and depression, brought on a serious lack of desire to live. Her good friend contacted Heart and Soul Wellness and asked what could be done to help.

Heart and Soul Wellness organized a group of people dedicated to offering prayers and blessings every day. “Cups of Compassion” and “Messages from the Heart” were created to raise funds for the services needed. Over a 2-3 month period the recipient regained the desire to live, no longer had a blood disease, and finally received assistance which relieved the surgery pain.
